Amanda Crum O.D.
Dr. Amanda Crum is a 2002 graduate of Hoxie High School where she was valedictorian of her class. She graduated with honors from Arkansas State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a pre professional emphasis. She continued her education at Northeastern State University, Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, OK where she graduated in 2009 with a doctorate in optometry. While in optometry school she was a member of Women in Optometry, Oklahoma Optometric Association, America Optometric Association and The InfantSee Program. She completed an externship at Harrel Eyecare in Tulsa, OK, which was geared at family practice optometry and vision therapy.
She is currently a member of the Arkansas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, InfantSee, Vision USA, Searcy Chamber of Commerce and participates in the Lyons Club Program. She is also a board member for K Life. She volunteers her time at the Searcy Day of Caring, Special Olympics, and pediatric health screenings.
She attends Fellowship Bible Church and teaches the three and four year old preschool class.She is married to Dr. Parker Crum who is a chiropractor at Crum Chiropractic in Searcy. She enjoys spending time, with her family, traveling, playing softball and playing the piano. She also enjoys coaching her daughters’ softball team.
Dr. Crum has extensive experience in the management of refractive errors through the use of spectacles and contact lenses, including multifocal contact lenses and astigmatism contacts. She also has experience in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and ocular pathology secondary to systemic disease. Dr. Crum enjoys seeing patients of all ages and starts as soon as 6 months.
